Flash=Compute Storage, stuff you are processing

Disk=Data Storage, stuff you have processed or might want to process soon

Tape=Data Hoard, stuff you can’t bare to get rid because you might need it but realistically, you only need <10% but you don't know which 10%.

    I have real world figures which suggest it’s 6-10% of the data which we put to tape which is accessed again. If we knew which 6-10% it was going to be…keeping it all on disk would be more feasible and would make our lives easier. The joys of an on-line video archive!
